1. Paul Tripp states that “fear is one of God’s good gifts to us.” He goes on to list three of these types of fears: Fear of God, Rapid Response Fear, and Appropriate Concern. Do you believe there are types of fear that are good? Paul Tripp also says, “Be afraid, but don’t give way to fear.” What does it mean to give way to fear?
2. What verse spoke to you the most out of the message?
3. “For us to walk in faith, it means we must be willing to walk with God even when the outcome is uncertain.” Has your faith ever been tested in this way? Did God call you to walk with Him into a situation or circumstance that the end result was unknown to you? How did you respond and what was the result of your response?

Praying for you and Michele, Jeff! Thank you continuing to provide for the public. Continue to be salt and light to your fellow workers and the fear-riddled customers.
"Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand" (Isaiah 41:10). As I was writing this verse, Matthew 14:28-32 came to mind. I have been sleeping more than usual lately. Seeing things go the way they are, witnessing people running in fear buying anything and everything. Please remember that the church is here to uplift one another, encourages us, and supports. Please pray for those that are still working the essential jobs. It is sometimes hard to hear how bad things can get, and still be out there exposed. Love you guys - Jeff L.
1 John 4:18 “Perfect Love Casts Out All Fear”
Thank you for your prayers and to our church family for reaching out. We so appreciate. God bless you all!
We so appreciated this powerful message, positive scriptures, and the C.S. Lewis quotes, reminding us to 'Carry On', even in the storms. This will help us to 'Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.' (Romans 12:12). We will share this positive message with family and friends! Thank you Pastor Matt.
Thank you for the encouraging message! It was good to be reminded what to do with our fear. And in whom to trust.
What spoke to me the most was the references you used from Deuteronomy and Ezekiel where God commands us to change our hearts and later, in the same book, it says that He (God) will be the one to do it! So powerful!
Thank you for the good sermon, Matt! After listening to the message, I was feeling pretty down as I realized how slowly time is going in isolation. It’s only been a week since I was at a church service. It’s only been 3 days since we closed our shop and began our shelter in place. It feels like weeks and weeks already. I decided to turn YouTube on my tv and play worship songs. I just want to encourage everyone to do that when you start feeling frustration or cabin fever set in. My first song was Way Maker. I challenge you all to play that one, stand in your living room and worship Our God. Before it was half way finished I was feeling the peace and joy that surpasses all understanding. God is so good! Praying for and missing you all. https://youtu.be/iJCV_2H9xD0
